Two rectangular emerald-cut moissanites give these stud earrings an exceptionally elegant and timeless appeal. Available with 0.5ct per earring (3x5mm) or 1ct per earring (5x7mm), they create an impressive eye-catcher depending on the chosen variant. The emerald cut is characterized by its distinctive step facets and clean lines. These beautifully highlight the exceptional purity and brilliance of moissanites, creating fascinating light reflections. Many jewelry lovers also appreciate moissanites for their stronger sparkle compared to classic diamonds. At the same time, they possess diamond-like hardness and are excellent for daily wear, ensuring their extraordinary brilliance remains even after many years.

The clear rectangular shape and elegant lines of the emerald cut give the stud earrings a modern yet timeless appeal. Many also know this design as rectangular moissanite stud earrings, emerald-cut stud earrings, emerald stud earrings, or emerald cut moissanite stud earrings. Whether as a loving gift for a birthday, anniversary, Valentine's Day, or Christmas, or simply as a special token of appreciation for a loved one – these stud earrings accompany unforgettable moments and create lasting memories. Their timeless design ensures they remain modern even after many years and continue to impress with their exceptional elegance again and again.

Crafted from high-quality 925 sterling silver and finished with an 18K white gold plating, the stud earrings boast high-quality craftsmanship and comfortable wear. The moissanites have a colorless D color grade, high VVS1 clarity, and an excellent emerald cut for extraordinary brilliance. Moissanite FAQ

What is moissanite?

Moissanite is not a diamond imitation but a unique gemstone, originally discovered in meteorites in 1893. Since it is virtually non-existent in jewelry quality in nature, it is now produced in high quality in a laboratory. It stands out due to its greater sparkle and fire compared to diamonds. At the same time, moissanite is almost as hard as diamond and therefore perfectly suited for everyday wear.

Why Moissanite jewelry is a popular alternative to diamond jewelry

Moissanite and diamonds are barely distinguishable from one another to the naked eye. However, moissanite is not a diamond simulant, but a unique gemstone in its own right, which actually sparkles more intensely than a diamond. With a Mohs hardness of 9.25, moissanite is almost as hard as a diamond, making it particularly scratch-resistant. This allows moissanite to retain its extraordinary, colorful sparkle for many years.

Why does moissanite sparkle more than a diamond?

Moissanite has a higher refractive index and stronger dispersion (fire/rainbow) than diamonds. In addition, moissanite has double refraction – a property that diamonds do not possess. This causes incoming light to be split and transmitted through the stone in a unique way. Combined with the higher dispersion, this creates more intense light reflections, visible flashes of color, and a more vivid sparkle. While diamonds are known for their classic, steady sparkle, moissanite often displays a more dynamic and colorful play of rainbow light.

Can moissanite become cloudy or change color?

No. Moissanite does not become cloudy on its own and does not lose its brilliance. The stone is not coated and retains its optical properties for years. Deposits such as soap residue or dirt can briefly diminish its sparkle, but they can be easily removed with simple cleaning.

Only at extremely high temperatures or through aggressive chemicals can moissanite be damaged or change its color – just like a diamond.

Can moissanite scratch or chip during everyday wear?

With a Mohs hardness of 9.25, moissanite is extremely scratch-resistant and will retain its extraordinary sparkle for years under normal wear. Only a diamond or another moissanite can scratch a moissanite. While moissanite can chip from heavy impacts, its crystal structure makes it less susceptible to this than a diamond.

Why Moissanite jewelry is perfect for everyday wear?

Moissanite is extremely durable and ideal for daily wear. With a hardness of approximately 9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite ranks just behind diamonds (10), making it one of the hardest gemstones in the world. As a result, it is highly resistant to scratches and retains its brilliance even with regular wear.

Why Moissanite jewelry gifts are unforgettable

Moissanite is still a relatively unknown gemstone. Many people are not even aware that there is a stone that can display a more intense sparkle than a diamond. At the same time, with a hardness of about 9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is almost as durable as a diamond. As a result, gifts featuring moissanite last for many years and are not only a beautiful reminder of a special moment, but also accompany many new memories with their extraordinary sparkle.

Why can white gold appear slightly yellowish in photos?

White gold contains a natural warm gold tone, as gold itself is yellow. In areas less directly reached by light, the camera may render this warm tone more intensely, even though the piece of jewelry appears white there in reality as well.

Alongside tiny lint, this is another reason why genuine jewelry photos represent a challenge in the industry.

Cleaning moissanite jewelry easily at home

Ideally, rings are simply cleaned while you wash your hands. Necklaces and, above all, earrings, however, require regular, targeted cleaning.

A fine, soft make-up brush is often faster and more thorough than an ultrasonic bath. Briefly soak the jewelry in a bowl of water with a little soap. Then hold it firmly with your fingers and clean it carefully with the brush.

Try not to move the jewelry around in the bowl while doing this, as it could be scratched by the bowl itself.

With older jewelry that has been worn for a long time, the coating may wear off or loosen over time. In this case, even a soft brush could further wear away the already damaged coating. Therefore, clean such jewelry with particular care.

How do I get the maximum brilliance out of a moissanite or diamond?

Both moissanite and diamonds can allow slightly less light to enter the stone—even when they have just been cleaned—due to fingerprints and skin oils, as the fingerprints obstruct the light.

Therefore, it can be worthwhile to give the gemstone a quick wipe with a clean paper towel after putting it on. Paper towels absorb skin oils very well and are always clean. After all, to get the maximum sparkle out of diamonds or moissanite, the cloth itself must not leave any smudges behind.

The difference is not huge, and a gemstone does not automatically lose its sparkle with every touch. However, anyone with a keen eye will notice the difference immediately: a moissanite or diamond without fingerprints can further enhance that "wow" effect.
