It impresses with its stronger sparkle and fire than diamonds. At the same time, moissanite is almost as hard as diamond, making it perfect for everyday wear.
Moissanite has a higher refractive index and greater dispersion (fire/rainbow) than diamonds. In addition, moissanite exhibits double refraction – a property that diamonds do not possess. As a result, incoming light is divided and transmitted through the stone in a unique way. In combination with the higher dispersion, more intense light reflections, visible color flashes, and a more lively sparkle are created. While diamonds are known for their classic, calm sparkle, moissanite often displays a more dynamic and colorful rainbow light show.
